a second review of wild horses;

a little review in the Telegraph Journal by Michael Landry (there doesn't seem to be a link to the specific piece, rec'd as a pdf), February 27, 2010:
Written during rob mclennan’s stint as U of A’s writer in residence, wild horses is not just a view of the Ottawa poet’s Western home. It’s an exercise in understanding a new place stripped of verbose, technicolour depiction. Like the titular ‘wild horses’ these poems explore the difficulty of wrangling words to convey the sense of things. With peculiar phrases mclennan translates the thrilling unfamiliarity of new city.
